In an article I saw on Huffington Post, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/05/16/michael-steele-gay-marria_n_204263.html#postComment, it seems that the GOP thinks that small businesses will suffer by providing additional benefits to gay couples.

Is it descrimination to have a separate “marriage” category for same sex marriages and either not require a company to offer family benefits and/or phase those benefits in over time? If it is a matter of hurting small business then handle them separately, but allow for the social aspects.
